The Desert Beauty Calopieris eulimene: a butterfly new to Egypt (Insecta: Lepidoptera)

The Desert Beauty Calopieris eulimene is reported for the first time from Egypt based on observations from the Gebel Elba region in the southeastern Eastern Desert. The species was recorded in arid desert wadis associated with the presence of the larval host plant Capparis decidua.
